Dive Insight:
Henry succeeds company veteran Steve Wilhite, who is departing Schneider Electric after a 25-year stint, including more than 15 directly with the company. Wilhite was also the former CEO and president of Summit Energy from 1999 until Schneider Electric acquired it in 2011, according to his LinkedIn.
Schneider Electric launched SE Advisory Services last year as its flagship global consulting advisory to provide companies and senior leaders with a wide range of solutions as they attempt to “solve complex challenges in energy efficiency, sustainability, and technology through electrification, automation, and digitalization,” it said at the time.
At the time of its launch, the company said the advisory practice would help boost performance across an organization’s entire enterprise and address key factors ranging from decarbonization and circularity to governance for infrastructure modernization initiatives.
Since its launch, SE Advisory Services has backed a range of sustainability-focused efforts and programs. Most recently, the advisory firm collaborated with Levi Strauss and Marks & Spencer to help suppliers across fashion supply chains adopt renewable electricity at scale.
"Organizations are navigating profound changes across energy, sustainability, resilience, and digital transformation," Henry said in an Oct. 1 release. "The challenge for many leaders is no longer defining ambition. It's turning ambition into action and measurable results."
Prior to joining Schneider Electric, Henry held senior leadership roles at consulting giant McKinsey & Company, eyewear manufacturer EssilorLuxottica and home appliances maker Whirlpool.
